Book with wavy pages
You ordered a yearbook, receive it nicely from us, but now the pages of the inside pages seem to be wavy all over. You don’t think that’s your intention and want a solution.
Of course, our product contains paper that can absorb moisture when the humidity changes. We often see this phenomenon in autumn and winter when it is also a bit humid outside, but it can also occur in summer, when it is very hot outside and people have the air conditioning on inside. As long as the book stays in the same room where the humidity is between 40 and 60%, nothing will happen to it. However, from our production, the annual report goes “on a journey” to you. And if during this journey the humidity levels were quite different, the book has to recover from that.
How to prevent this / what to do?
Give the book time to “settle” during humid periods. The yearbook has been subjected to quite a few changes, because of this, the book needs about ten days to straighten out again.
Sending a new copy during this period makes no sense at all, since this book will undergo the same journey again and will also end up in the same room at your home, this book too (during the same period) will be able to give a wavy interior again. By letting the book rest in the same environment with stable humidity, the sheets often straighten out on their own.
